Fighting off some kind of minor cold. Coughed a lot last night, felt very stuffy in the morning, dragged myself around all day like a zombie, avoided my favorite food group lest it contribute to the phlegm situation, and just generally lazed about with lots of fluids.

I've had funky dreams the last few nights. One was about my dad, in which I found out that my mom had left him alone in my house (since when does my mom have control over who is in my house?), and I was aghast, sure that he was going to be irresponsible (leave doors unlocked? take stuff that didn't belong to him? whatever) and that he would treat ( Read more... )

I've been busy busy busy lately, largely due to our recent efforts to rearrange rooms and furniture and get our stuff organized so that we can move some of it into the garage (the cement floor of which seems to be almost dry now ... weeks after it was poured!). Rain today. I wanted to just laze around the house like a bum, but instead I headed out on foot, and the rain mostly spared me. It misted on me just enough, though, to inspire my hair to frizz out like that of Magenta in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Brunch w/Lisa at Fatapples. I didn't eat eggs, and didn't get sick. I instead had an excellent cheeseburger in an effort to get more iron. And I drank orange juice with it, since vitamin C apparently helps with the absorption of iron ( Read more... )
